How Do We Keep Repeating the Same Patterns?

Discover what's behind the patterns we keep repeating, how we lose touch with who we really are, and practical ways to create lasting change.

Saturday 5th

September | 10.00am – 2.30pm | Live Online | FREE

Have you ever found yourself thinking...

"Why do I keep doing this?"

Perhaps you've promised yourself you'll be more confident yet still find yourself holding back.

Maybe you've decided you'll stop overthinking, only to notice yourself doing exactly the same thing a few days later.

Or perhaps you've wondered why certain situations, relationships or challenges seem to keep showing up in different disguises.

As coaches, leaders and helping professionals, you may also have found yourself asking...

"Why do some people create lasting change, while others seem to stay stuck despite their best intentions?"

These are questions I've been fascinated by for many years.

The truth is most of us aren't lacking motivation.

We're simply running patterns that were created earlier in life - patterns that once served a purpose but may no longer be helping us.

Until we understand those patterns, we're often trying to solve the wrong problem.

Imagine if you could...

Develop a deeper understanding of why people think, feel and behave the way they do.

Recognise the unconscious patterns that influence confidence, decisions, relationships and behaviour.

Help yourself (and others) move beyond those patterns without relying on advice, persuasion or willpower alone.

This is exactly what we'll begin exploring during this free, practical workshop.

During the session you'll discover...

✔ How we repeat familiar patterns, even when we genuinely want things to change.

✔ Why lasting change is rarely about trying harder.

✔ How our experiences shape our beliefs, behaviours and sense of identity.

✔ Why we sometimes lose touch with who we really are.

✔ Practical NLP approaches that can help create meaningful and lasting change.

✔ How these principles can be applied both personally and professionally.

You'll leave with practical ideas that you can begin applying immediately, whether that's in your own life, your coaching conversations, your leadership role or simply your everyday interactions with others.

Perfect if you want to develop yourself...

Perhaps you'd like to:

  • Feel more confident being yourself.
  • Stop repeating behaviours that no longer serve you.
  • Understand yourself on a much deeper level.
  • Rediscover your direction, purpose and confidence.
  • Create lasting change instead of temporary motivation.

Equally valuable if you coach, lead or support others...

If you're a coach, therapist, manager, leader, trainer or work in a helping profession, this workshop will also give you a taste of how NLP can enrich your existing toolkit.

You'll discover approaches that can help you:

  • Ask questions that uncover what's really driving behaviour.
  • Help people develop greater self-awareness and ownership.
  • Move beyond simply discussing problems towards facilitating meaningful change.
  • Recognise recurring patterns more quickly.
  • Coach with greater flexibility, confidence and impact.

You don't need to become an NLP Practitioner to benefit from these ideas. But if you've ever wanted another way of helping people move forward, I think you'll find this fascinating.

What makes NLP different?

Many approaches help us understand why we think, feel or behave the way we do.

That understanding can be incredibly valuable.

However, insight on its own doesn't always create change.

How many times have you heard yourself (or someone else) say:

"I know why I do it... but I still keep doing it."

One of the things I love about NLP is that it doesn't stop at awareness.

It provides a practical set of tools that help people change the patterns that sit beneath their thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

Rather than relying on willpower or simply hoping things will improve over time, NLP offers practical techniques that can help people:

  • Develop greater confidence and self-belief.
  • Let go of limiting beliefs that no longer serve them.
  • Reduce the emotional impact of unhelpful past experiences.
  • Build healthier habits and behaviours.
  • Overcome fears, self-doubt and unhelpful thinking patterns.
  • Strengthen motivation and commitment.
  • Improve communication and relationships.
  • Create clearer outcomes and take purposeful action.

The techniques are practical, respectful and solution-focused, helping people create meaningful, lasting change rather than simply talking about change.

For coaches, leaders and helping professionals, they also provide an additional toolkit that can help clients and colleagues move beyond insight into genuine transformation.

Rather than feeling like you're responsible for solving someone else's problem, you'll learn approaches that encourage people to uncover their own answers, take ownership of their change and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

That's why so many people tell me they continue using these skills every day, both in their own lives and in the conversations they have with others, long after the course has finished.

Meet Your Trainer

Hi, I'm Jo Creed.

I came to NLP with a background in human and business psychology and over 18 years’ experience in coaching, training and senior leadership roles across healthcare, public and commercial sectors. I know what it’s like to be on the hamster wheel of stress, responsibility and “shoulds”. NLP helped me step off it, put myself back on the priority list, and choose a different way forward. That lived understanding shapes how I train, connect and support people every step of the way.

For over 15 years I've been helping people develop greater confidence, create meaningful change and become more effective communicators through NLP, coaching, Clean Language and behavioural psychology.

I've trained hundreds of people across the NHS, public sector, private organisations and independent businesses.

One of the things I love most about NLP is that it isn't just something you learn during a course. The skills become part of how you think, communicate and coach, often making a difference every single day, both personally and professionally.

What matters most to me is how people experience the training. I don’t believe in delivering a course and then disappearing. Everything I do is centred around the Beyond NLP family - supporting people to apply what they learn in their work, relationships and everyday lives.

Many people arrive wanting tools to help others, and they leave with that, plus something unexpected for themselves: more confidence, stronger boundaries, clearer communication and a different way of handling situations that used to feel difficult.

My workshops are always practical, supportive and highly interactive, because I believe the best way to learn is by experiencing the techniques rather than simply hearing about them.
